Job description

We are currently partnering with a large Housing Association based within the Rochdale area, who are recruiting for a ASB Officer to join their growing team on a six-month basis.

This is a full-time position with a salary of £34,225.36 per annum. The interviews will be held on the 27th November with a view to start asap. The role is primarily patch based but does have some flexibility on home working.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for managing medium to high level of cases of ASB, ensuring excellent case management procedures at all times
  • Drafting witness statements, NTQs and NOSPs whilst simultaneously ensuring witness care
  • Preparing all paperwork required for cases prior to court attendance and subsequently attending court for ASB cases on behalf of the organisation
  • Utilising all available tools, and being aware of the anti-social behaviour powers
  • Serving notices and attend evictions to assist landlords with enforcement
  • Working closely with Police and Council to help resolve issues
  • Mediating and neighbourhood disputes – including drug misuse, domestic abuse issues and mental health

Experience required:

  • Good background either as a Housing Officer or as a ASB Officer
  • Effective mediation and negotiation skills to deliver positive outcomes
  • Experience of providing services directly to the public on a face to face basis

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Knowledge and practical application of the ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014
  • Completion of Equality Impact Assessments
  • Working knowledge of Equality Act 2010 in context of ASB practice
  • Working knowledge of Housing legislation
