Job description
We are currently partnering with a large Housing Association, who are recruiting for a Disrepair Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position with a salary band of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + £1800 ECU (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Deliver a quality, resident-focused, comprehensive, and co-ordinated Disrepair Surveyor Service working heavily and collaboratively with internal and external legal Counsel, external contractors, and internal departments
- Ensure that a high-quality service is delivered to help with the groups efficiencies without compromise to comply with relevant policies, legal and regulatory requirements
- Be proactive in monitoring performance, meeting KPI’s and taking decisive action to ensure issues are addressed
- Address and resolve complex disrepair cases, within a timely manner
Experience required:
- Experience required in Social Housing
- Experience in property maintenance professional with detailed knowledge of
- housing construction, disrepair & maintenance service delivery
- Membership of RICS, CIOB or equivalent level experience
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- both orally and in written reports
- Can communicate answers and solutions confidently to customers/colleagues’
- face to face, by phone and by writing in customer friendly language

Working hours:
- 35 hours per week
