Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Charity/Not-for-Profit based in Trowbridge, who are recruiting for a Deputy Manager on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately, with a salary of £29,574 - £34,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have managed staff previously and have experience working with those that have complex needs.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist the Service Manager in overseeing the operational running and leadership of 20 support staff, alongside 2 Team Leader

  • Ensure staff team work collaboratively to manage and lead their young people in an effective way

  • Complete a needs and risk assessment with young people, ensuring the health and wellbeing of young people we support is appropriately reviewed

  • Take responsibility for resident related income including housing benefit and resident's service charge, in the absence of the Service Manger

  • Create new and maintain existing excellent working relationships with our referrers and stakeholders

  • Assist in the recruitment of new staff and take responsibility for the staff rota

  • Assist Service Manager with absence management, monitoring staff performance and handling any disciplinary issues including investigations

Experience required:

  • Experience required in working in an environment with complex needs

  • 37 hours per week
