Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Penrith, who are recruiting for a Building Surveyor in their Decarbonisation team on a permanent contract. The salary for the role is £36,321.00 and the position is due to start as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will have construction, social housing, CDM and Health and Safety experience, however there are no specific qualifications required for this role.

Please see below a list of the required duties:

  • Responsible for leading the tenant engagement process to keep tenants informed in regards to decarbonisation works due to be carried out on their properties

  • Liaising with contractors in regards to repairs, and ensuring agreed timescales and budgets are being met

  • Ensuring value for money was being achieved through the works being carried out by contractors

  • Carrying out pre and post inspection prior and post works being carried out, to ensure agreed specifications were being met

  • Working with procurement to oversee the day to day running of contracts
