Job description
We are currently partnering with a leading Manchester based Housing Association, who are recruiting for a Building Safety Officer to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Our client is proud to provide excellent, affordable housing across the Manchester region, across a variety of dwellings include high-rise properties.
This is a full-time position with a salary of £35,745 and they are willing to wait on notice periods of suitable candidates.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Working across a range of teams including Compliance, Assets and Neighbourhoods to provide detailed reports and data relating to Building Safety and Building Safety reports, acting in a liaison officer capacity
Assisting the Building Safety Manager to implement the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022, and exercising knowledge of this
Liaising with third parties such as The Home Office and The Fire Service to register properties and distribute relevant data
Playing an active role in the design and implementation of building safety measures such as block audits and door inspections
Liaising with colleagues internally to ensure they are aware of their obligations relating to the latest legislation
Attending sites to assist in data gathering exercises
Ensuring all Golden Thread data is accurately recorded on in house systems and Excel spreadsheets
Playing an active role in producing Building Safety Case reports
Performing analytical tasks as required
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
Knowledge of the Building Safety Act
An understanding of how Building Safety Case reports operate and what they contain
Strong communication skills
Excellent IT skills including use of Excel

37 hours per week
