We are currently working in partnership with a charity based in West Midlands, who are recruiting for an Assessment Worker on a temporary 3-month contract. The position is full time, Monday-Friday, with the potential to go permanent. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £14.32 per hour PAYE including holiday pay.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar setting supporting homeless and vulnerable individuals in some capacity, have an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 3 years and be available to start the role immediately after successful interview.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Working on a triage basis to be responsible for conducting initial assessments with customers and make decisions on further support required

• Dealing with referrals of service users threatened with, or suffering from, homelessness

• Offering front line administrative support in order to help the function of the service

• Referring customers which require additional support over to Support Workers accordingly

• Assisting service users with welfare benefit entitlements, providing advice for support

Experience required:

• Previous experience working with vulnerable, homeless individuals

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Must hold an enhanced DBS certificate
