Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Bristol, who are recruiting for an experienced Area Manager on a temporary 3-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go permanent and the hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £30 via an Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience line managing a number of sheltered or supported accommodations and schemes. As well as, having the ability to hit the ground running and manage both senior and entry-level co-ordinators.

This candidate must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate from within 3-years, drive and have proven managerial experience.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Overseeing 7 sheltered schemes with those that have complex needs such as 55+, substance misuse etc

  • Report directly to the Regional Operations Manager, relaying back updates on the services

  • Develop staff, devise action plans, carry out 1-2-1s and appraisals, focusing on performance, attitude and behaviour

  • Conduct team meetings and help to improve the quality of service on a day-to-day basis

  • Ensure that all services are delivered within budget, meet targets and resident satisfaction

  • Ensure that targets were met and provide stats on performance and other KPIs

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Managing Supported Housing

  • Experience Managing other Managers

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Financial management and budgeting

  • Compliance and due diligence

  • 36 hours per week
