Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Oxfordshire, who are recruiting for a part-time Scheme Manager on a temporary three-month contract. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience.

Our client is looking for someone who is available on short notice, has access to their own vehicle and has an Enhanced DBS dated within the last three years.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a sheltered scheme, providing support to customers aged 55+

  • Completing regular welfare checks on residents

  • Responsible for monitoring the health and safety across the building

  • Updating wellbeing plans as required and ensuring they are tailored to individual customer needs

  • Completing pull-cord equipment checks

  • Arranging resident activities across the scheme and encouraging tenant participation (e.g. coffee mornings)

  • Ensuring safeguarding are adhered to at all times

  • Signposting customers to external agencies - e.g. Social Workers

  • Logging repairs and following these up with contractors

  • Completing regular property inspections and updating records accurately

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • Experience managing sheltered housing or similar settings

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety standards

  • Strong communication and resident support skills

  • Confident in welfare checks, record-keeping, and wellbeing plans

  • Enhanced DBS and own transport required

Working hours:

  • 15 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday (across 2-3 days)

  • 9am - 4pm (1 hour lunch)
