Job description
We are currently partnering a Local Authority in Oxfordshire, in their recruitment for a Planning & Highways Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 3-months.
They are able to consider candidates on a remote basis, but any attendance will be advantageous. The successful candidate must hold a current practising certificate.
The team have capacity for full-time hours, but part-time applicants will also be considered. The rate is negotiable subject to PQE, but ideally will be between £50 - £60 p/hour via an Umbrella company.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Handling a mixed caseload of Planning and Highways matters, including attending meetings and advising Council Officers and Members in regards to legal issues, governance and procedure
- Drafting and advising s.106 agreements, CIL, certificates of lawful use and advising on other planning related matters
- Advising on, drafting and completing highways agreements, including deeds of dedication and footpath orders
Working hours:
- Up to 37-hours per week
- No out-of-hours attendance required
