We're currently working with a Local Authority based in the West Midlands, who are looking for a locum Commercial Property Lawyer to join the team on an initial 3-month contract.

The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate is circa £45 per hour, via an Umbrella company, subject to PQE.

The role will ideally require one day per week in the office, and previous Local Government experience will be essential for the role.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Handling a range of property law matters, including leases, licenses and sales and purchases of land, landlord and tenant matters, and disposals and acquisitions
• Supporting development projects including drafting and completing conditional agreements for lease
• Providing detailed advice in all areas of freehold and leasehold property law and to carry out research when necessary
• Dealing with leases for educational properties, including transfers to academies and long-term leases

Experience required:

• Commercial Property Law
• Relevant Professional Qualification - Solicitor, Barrister, FCILEX

 
Working hours:

• 35 hours per week
