Job description
Our client, based in London, is currently recruiting for a Clerk of Works on a permanent contract.
The position is due to start in April on a full-time basis on notice. The salary is circa £55,000-£60,000.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on fire remediation projects within the residential sector and access to their own vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Ensuring that the quality of both materials and workmanship are in accordance with the design information such as specification, drawings and quality standards
- Attending site for fire remediation, taking part in client pre-commencement meetings and reviewing progress supplied by site manager
- Confirming that the inspections are performed in a manner that confirms the reported results
- Attending dedicated QA weekly progress meetings with client, and providing detailed updates of QA progress
- Compiling reports with photographs and marked up detailing progress and issued to contractor/client design and commercial teams
Experience required:
- MICWCI or MCIOB – desirable
- Working on projects focused around fire remediation
- Residential sector
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Report writing skills
- Good written & oral communication skills
Working hours:
- Monday – Friday
- 8:30am – 5pm
