Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Oldham, who are recruiting for a Homeownership Manager on a permanent basis. The position is due to start in the New Year and the salary is £40,100 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Leasehold and Homeownership but the client is willing to be flexible on management experience. The role will be primarily home based with the odd meeting in the office.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Responsible for the management of 3 members of staff
Identifying and collecting service charges due from former and current tenants
Ensuring that section 20 consultations are sent out to correct tenants
Ensuring the provision of website information, forums, consultations and advice to past, prospective and current right to buy/acquire applicants and leasehold customers
Monitoring performance of solicitors, valuers and conveyancers
Working with key stakeholders developing and training on policy and procedures
Handling breach of lease, freehold covenants or other tenancy management problems
Experience required:
Knowledge of the Welfare Reform Act 2012
Knowledge and experience of pre-court action protocol
Experience of working in a multi-agency environment providing services to the public
Experience of service user consultation and engagement
Experience of policy development and project management as well as providing policy advice to a variety of stakeholders on legislation, regulations, and best practice

Working hours:
37 per week hours per week
1-2 days in the office
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
