Job description

Our client, a nationwide charity, is currently recruiting for a Senior HR Business Partner on a six-month fixed term contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The Salary for this role is between £45,000 - £55,000 with competitive company benefits included.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in the HR sector and ideally be MCIPD qualified, however this requirement can be flexible.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Lead, manage and supervise the HR Business Partner team (four HRBP’s), providing guidance and support and ensuring performance objectives and work goals are met

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the HR Business Partners (and wider HR team) on complex employee relations issues, including managing difficult conversations with senior managers as needed

  • Lead and manage projects arising from the new People Strategy and other initiatives

  • Coach and support HR colleagues and line managers to promote continuous improvement in HR service delivery and line management capability

  • Support the Director of HR in the development of strategic business planning processes, using workforce data to analyse and understand workforce trends and plans

  • Manage complex casework, providing risk-based guidance and coaching, informed by expert employment law knowledge, to line managers on how best to handle people issues, including assessing and managing risk appropriately to reach desired outcomes

Expertise required:

  • Have experience in a senior or leadership HR role previously

  • MCIPD qualified

  • Proficient with spreadsheets and use of Microsoft Word and Power Point

  • Strong and current ER knowledge
