Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Repairs Surveyor on a temporarycontract for two months.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

·         Inspect housing stock and building works, prepare specifications; compile tender/contract documentation to deliver repairs and void works

·         Work within authorised budgets and to agreed quality standards

·         Assist all colleagues and contractors in order to achieve top quartile performance in all aspects of maintenance services

·         Carry out pre and post inspections utilising the protimeter and other relevant diagnostic equipment

·         Specify, authorize, own and manage works to completion

·         Proactively communicate with customers, internal or external, in line with agreed processes

·         Collate evidence to manage contractor performance

Experience required:

·         Experience of scheduling building / planned maintenance works and contract administration

·         Experience of communicating with service users ,staff and other agencies

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

·         Knowledge of housing maintenance, repair specifications, diagnosing defects and remedial works

·         A strong knowledge of social housing management

·         Knowledge of housing / property management systems

Working hours

·         35 hours per week

·         Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
