We are currently working in partnership with a women’s domestic violence charity based in Basildon (Essex), who are recruiting for an IDVA on a temporary six-month contract.

The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to be extended further. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience up to £25 umbrella per hour.

The ideal candidate will have used the system Oasis and previously worked as a Domestic Violence Support Worker.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

·         Managing a caseload between 15- 20, delivering high quality and responsive support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse

·         Identifying and assessing the risks and needs of domestic abuse survivors using an evidence based risk identification checklist

·         Working within a multi-agency setting to address the safety of high-risk survivors and ensuring that their safety plans are co-ordinated particularly through the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC)

Experience required:

·         Previously worked as an IDVA or Domestic/Sexual Violence Support Worker

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

·         Risk assessment and management

·         Support focuses towards the families or children of domestic abuse
