Job description

We are proud to be partnering with a Social Housing Provider who is accredited with an Investors in People Platinum Award, who are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Construction Partner on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position based in Stockport, with hybrid working and a salary of £41,000 + a 10% car allowance equalling a total package of £45,000.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with New Build properties, have a construction background and hold their NEBOSH qualification.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring that managers comply with the Health and Safety Act of 1974 and other relevant Construction legislation

  • Creating risk assessments and making sure that they comply with current Health and Safety legislation

  • Carrying out Health and Safety audits and site inspections across a patch of construction sites

  • Undertaking in house Health and Safety training for a range of different staff

  • Utilising knowledge of CDM regulations and construction legislation when carrying out audits, assessments and training

  • Partnering with both the Health and Safety Manager and the Head of Health and Safety, as well as the HR team to continuously improve the Health and Safety strategy

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing

  • Experience with New Build developments

  • Experience in Contract Management

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • NEBOSH Qualification or NVQ equivalent

Working hours:

  • Flexible working hours

  • Monday – Friday (09:00 – 17:00)
