Job description
Our client, based in Hemlington, Middlesbrough is currently recruiting for a Floating Support Worker to join them on a Full time Permanent basis. The position is due to start in March this year. The basic salary for this role is £24,000 per annum + staff benefits.
Our client will offer a small element of homeworking (1 day per week) however, the successful candidate will need to have access to the own vehicle as frequent travel will be required with a visibility on patch. Milage will be paid. This will be calculated per mile from office to patch.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
Responsible for delivering housing-related support that aims to establish maintain and sustain independent living to our tenants at our schemes
Offering advice and support to tenants regarding their tenancy, and completing risk assessments for the property and individuals’ circumstances
Liaise with external organisations such as supporting people commissioners, social services and occupational health services to ensure tenants can successfully maintain their tenancy and live independently
Work closing alongside the Neighbourhood Coordinators to manage any breaches of tenancy in unison
Hold some knowledge of ASB and how to deal with situations appropriately, if faced with any challenging tenants
Carry out lone working a majority of the time and will be part of a small neighbourhood management team overseen by the Neighbourhood Manager
Expected to be the main focus in ensuring we are delivering on contractual obligations and taking a proactive solution-focused approach
Engage with tenants regularly and work closely with tenant representatives and tenant groups
Experience required:
The ideal Candidate will have experience working in the Housing Sector
Experience Supporting Service users with a multitude of support needs that may affect their ability to manage their tenancy
Some knowledge of ASB as the patch is knowledge to challenging
Working hours
35 Hours per week Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm.
