Job description

We are currently engaged in a collaborative partnership with a distinguished Housing Association in Swindon. In pursuit of excellence, we are actively seeking a 6-monthTemporary Domestic Violence Service Manager. This will be a full-time position based in Swindon.

Ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working in Domestic Violence services, supporting adults, support and manage staff teams and manage the performance of the team.

Duties will include:

  • This role would be covering a DV and LGBTQ Refuge services in Swindon

  • Managing teams, responsible for effective delivery of client led practices that deliver positive outcomes

  • Providing operational management, staff line management of local project teams, including setting of targets, monitoring, and addressing any performance issues

  • Managing local staff teams to provide expert support to clients, encouraging clients to co-produce support plans

  • Providing supportive line management and supervision to team members ensuring regular reviews are in place including monthly supervisions, PDRs and any other reviews as appropriate

  • Building effective and motivated staff teams promoting a positive culture focused on learning and achieving best practice in project delivery

  • Ensuring that your teams are following lettings, allocations, assessment processes and are fully utilising the use of risk assessments and personal safety planning, and are giving sound advice and support around income maximisation and tenancy law

  • Management responsibility and oversite for the income collection, arrears, voids and lettings in your service

  • Leading the effective recruitment, induction, and support of staff

  • Contributing fully as a member of the Operations Management Team to achieve team/organisation objectives and standards, promoting effective communication and teamwork

Working hours:

  • 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

  • Up to 4 days working from home
